Learn our story, from the beginning and into the future.
Ever since we opened our gates we have approached life (and death) differently. While some just see the end of a loved one’s life as a time for grief and mourning, we prefer to think of it as a time for reflection, appreciation and even celebration. This is evident in everything we do, from the way we conduct our services to the amenities we choose to offer. We are not a burial ground. We are a close knit community dedicated to honoring, sharing and preserving the amazing and inspirational stories that are life.
years in business
In a nutshell? Experience, professionalism, compassion, and empathy.
We've learned a lot over many years. Like how to present options without overwhelming. And how to meet the needs of many caring parties. People come to us in difficult times, and we respond kindness, calmness and expertise. Our goal is to create a beautiful occasion and make you feel welcome, always. We spend our days planning with families. We stay up to date with industry developments. And we make hard times a little easier.
Learn the legacy.
Glen Haven Memorial Gardens was created from what was once an idyllic farm out in the country. The ensuing five decades have seen Byron, Warner Robins and South Bibb experience tremendous growth so that we now find ourselves conveniently located in the midst of an ever increasing number of people. Getting to Glen Haven is easy as we are in close proximity to three exits off of Interstate 75.
Our first burial took place in 1961 and, since that time, over 6,500 loved ones have come to Glen Haven as their final resting place. The cemetery grounds contains 51 beautiful acres which allows us plenty of room to expand with new gardens, mausoleum and other memorialization options.
Who We Are
Meet our staff. Members of the local community make everything that happens possible. Together, we make this place amazing.
Angela Mann became the newest member of the Glen Haven Memorial Garden’s family in 2015 when she took the role of Office Manager. Angie (as she likes to be called) graduated from Central Fellowship Christian Academy in Macon, GA and is a lifelong resident of Byron, GA. Angie says, “I believe that working in this industry presents a great opportunity to minister to others and show the love and compassion of Jesus. As people are walking through difficult times, something as simple as a smile or a kind word can add a small light to an otherwise dark day. I hope that I am able to accomplish this along the way, as I serve in this capacity.” Angie is a faithful member of Mikado Baptist Church here in Macon, GA and is a proud mother to a precious little boy, who she says is a daily gift from the Lord and the joy of her heart.
John Butler is our cemetery superintendent and just may be unsurpassed at taking care of all the many things that occur out on the grounds of a cemetery. John has worked at all levels in cemeteries since 1992 and his accomplishments are most impressive.
Jimmy Peavey is our most recent addition and we’re glad to have him on board. Jimmy is a “jack of all trades” and is capable of doing a variety of tasks. His background in the building business gives us someone on site who can maintain the cemetery structures in great condition.
